If you are an eligible AWS Academy student, you may receive an email explaining the new benefit of 12 months free access to AWS Skill Builder, the applicable 4 role based assigned AWS Cloud Quest trainings, and how to earn AWS certification vouchers as well as where to sign up.
If you do not receive an email, you may still sign up by navigating to your AWS Academy course in Canvas. Select the modules menu item and scroll to the module under AWS T&C Resources. Select the link to activate your AWS Skill Builder offer.
Within 14 business days of confirming your interest, you'll receive an email from AWS Skill Builder with instructions on how to register for your AWS Skill Builder account. Using your AWS Builder ID, login to skillbuilder.aws where you can start your assigned trainings. Please make sure the email address used for your Builder ID is the same email you use to register your interest in the free AWS Skill Builder subscription.
As an AWS Academy student, you're getting 12 months of free access to the subscription version of AWS Skill Builder, which includes not only hundreds of digital courses, but also labs and immersive learning experiences for building practical AWS skills, and full access to AWS Certification exam prep materials including practice experiences.
With AI and cloud technologies reshaping the job market, employers are actively seeking candidates with these skills. This program gives you access to the full breadth of self-paced training content developed by AWS experts on AI, cloud computing, machine learning, data, security, and other in-demand skills that companies need now.
In addition to getting full access to the complete training catalog available in a Skill Builder subscription plan, you are automatically assigned to four role-based, AWS Cloud Quest trainings and four Official Practice Exams.
Within 14 business days of completing one of the assigned Official Practice Exams, you'll receive a voucher to take an AWS Certification exam for the applicable-level exam (Foundational or Associate) at no cost. Students are eligible to receive one certification exam voucher for each role-based practice exam completed (maximum 4 vouchers per student). AWS Certifications are industry-recognized credentials that validate your technical skills to employers.
After signing in to AWS Skill Builder, you'll see your assigned trainings in the "Courses" tab of the "Your Recent Training Activity" section of your dashboard.
If you have an AWS Builder ID account that you use to access AWS Skill Builder, but do not have a Skill Builder subscription, you will request access through your AWS Academy course. If you use any other authentication method to access AWS Skill Builder and/or have a subscription, please contact support at skillbuilder.aws/support.
As your free access period nears its end, you'll receive information about continuing access to AWS Skill Builder subscription content through a Skill Builder individual monthly or annual subscription or you have the choice to let your subscription expire and take advantage of the content available through the free version of Skill Builder.

Your personal information (name and e-mail) will be shared with AWS Skill Builder to apply the 12-month free promotion to your Skill Builder account. AWS handles your personal information in accordance with the AWS Privacy Notice (https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/).
